14 day Diabetes Free Cleanse

I found out that I had Diabetes March 2010. I have controlled it decently with my diet and exercise. The past couple of years I was on Metformin and now Glipizide. I don’t want to manage Diabetes with medicine I want to be Diabetes Free! I don’t want to suppress it, but get to the ROOT cause. So I am about to embark on a one day liver cleanse and 14 day strict Diabetes Free Diet.  I will start April 21, 2015 and blog/Video everyday about my experience and results. While blogging I will explain in more detail about the 14 day Cleanse. What really got me interested in this is the explanation of the root cause of Diabetes and the shake you take 3 times a day that includes about 8 or so herbs that are uses in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Currently I am studying Herbs in my Masters program to become an Acupuncturist /Chinese Herbalist.

Please Join me on my journey.

Clean your liver with 5 things from your Refrigerator

Your liver is like a live- in housekeeping service in your body. It cleans your blood and help to remove all the toxins in your body. It is very vital that we keep it clean. We can keep it clean by using items we already have in our kitchen.

1. Lemon Water – Add some to your water every morning (liver produces more enzymes in response to water with lemon than to any other food.)

2. Turmeric – add this spice to your meats or soup  (encourage regeneration of liver cells. In addition, it increases natural bile production and aids in keeping the body toxin-free.)

3. Garlic – cut up some and add it to your meats or saute  it with your veggies (It contains allicin and selenium, which are both good for liver protection.)

4. Avocados- make a smoothie or add it to your salads (avocados had the most promise in protecting the liver from galactosamine, a “powerful” toxin that has been shown to produce a liver damage)

5.Cilantro- This herb can help remove heavy metals from the body
