Have you ever saw a person with little black beads taped to their ear?
Well, its called Eat Seed Therapy or Auricular. It is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine which observes the ear as a microcosm of the body. Auricular therapy uses points of the ear, along with small round seeds which are modestly taped on areas of the outer ear, which the client may press over the course of 3-4 days as additional stimulation for the points.
Ear Seed Therapy is widely used for many conditions, including addiction treatment, smoking cessation, mood disorders, obesity, pain, and much more. Some acupuncturists only treat the ear. This medical system emphasizes a holistic approach to medicine, an approach that treats the whole person. The acupuncture points found on the ear help to regulate the body’s internal organs, structures, and functions.
Auricular therapy has a long history of use in China. It was mentioned in the most famous of ancient Chinese medical textbooks, “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine.” In modern times, auricular therapy has been shown to stimulate the release of endorphins, the body’s own feel-good chemicals.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine if a person suffers from Chronic Sinusitis it means the following:
Their organs are experiencing –
- Lung/Spleen dampness;
- Lung heat;
- Lung/Spleen damp heat;
- Large Intestine channel disturbance;
- Deficient Lung; or
- Qi stagnation.
I experience this and find acupuncture to be highly effective. The following points in the body are usually inserted with acupuncture needles (also my acupuncturist would rub a little bit of White Flower oil under my nose and behind my ears):
POINT LI 4
POINT GB 14
POINT GB 20
One of my Favorite points that really works for me
POINT UB 2
The points above can also be used for sinus massage, but personally acupuncture is much more effective. Have fun and try out this points in the body!
I love that many women are embracing their natural hair. Dr. oz did a segment on natural hair and “THE BIG CHOP”. check out the video below:
I am currently studying Diabetes and Traditional Chinese Medicine this week. Basically, as a TCM practitioner, we would encourage our patients to reduce or ideally eliminate the following foods in their diet:
3. Simple Carbohydrates – Are sugars. All simple carbohydrates are made of just one or two sugar molecules. They are the quickest source of energy, as they are very rapidly digested.
Bread made with white flour
Pasta made with white flour
Soda pop, such as Coke®, Pepsi®, Mountain Dew®, etc.
All baked goods made with white flour
Most packaged cereals
6. Deep-Fried Foods
7. Tap water
