Points Acupuncturist use for Chronic Sinusitis

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine if a person suffers from Chronic Sinusitis it means the following:

Their organs are experiencing –

  • Lung/Spleen dampness;
  • Lung heat;
  • Lung/Spleen damp heat;
  • Large Intestine channel disturbance;
  • Deficient Lung; or
  • Qi stagnation.

I experience this and find acupuncture to be highly effective. The following points in the body are usually inserted with acupuncture needles (also my acupuncturist would rub a little bit of White Flower oil under my nose and behind my ears):

7 things Diabetics should eliminate from their diet

diabetes-finger-blood-test-110308-02

I am currently studying Diabetes and Traditional Chinese Medicine this week. Basically, as a TCM practitioner, we would encourage our patients to reduce or ideally eliminate the following foods in their diet:

1. Caffeine

2. Preservatives

3. Simple Carbohydrates  – Are sugars. All simple carbohydrates are made of just one or two sugar molecules. They are the quickest source of energy, as they are very rapidly digested.

Example:

Table sugar
Corn syrup
Fruit juice
Candy
Cake
Bread made with white flour
Pasta made with white flour
Soda pop, such as Coke®, Pepsi®, Mountain Dew®, etc.
Candy
All baked goods made with white flour
Most packaged cereals

4. Sugar

5. Dairy

6. Deep-Fried Foods

7. Tap water
