7 Health Tips From the Bible
The Word of God Brings Health to the Soul
Many people either read, own or have heard of the bible. I study and read the bible almost everyday. But did you know that this holy book has health advice that we can incorporate into our daily life. The bible is not a considered a medical journal, but it has many tips that encourages us to take care of our bodies. All of these tips are scientifically proven to benefit us.
Here are 7 tips:
1.  Exercise Daily –
“Bodily training is beneficial.” Says 1 Timothy 4:8 –
It is recommended that you exercise 45 minutes per day. Exercise improves your mental health, immune system and cardiovascular system. If you want to maintain or improve your health you must get active!
2. Eat in Moderation –
 “Don’t . . . stuff yourself with food,” says Proverbs 23:20. –
They key with any food choice is moderation. “Compulsive overeating can lead to serious medical conditions including high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, sleep apnea, and major depression. Additional long-term side effects of the condition also include kidney disease, arthritis, bone deterioration and stroke.” (see reference below)
3. Get  6-7 Hours of Sleep/Rest –
“Better is a handful of rest than a double handful of hard work and striving after the wind.” Says Ecclesiastes 4:6 –
A 2001 study at the Chicago Medical Institute suggested that sleep deprivation may be linked to serious diseases, such as heart disease and mental illness. A six-year study of more than one million adults ages 30 to 102 has shown that people who get only 6 to 7 hours a night have a lower death rate. (see reference below)
4. Wine is Good for your Stomach
“but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.” 1 Timothy 5:23
Ok so don’t go grapping a glass of wine every 2 hours. It says a “LITTLE” wine, which means in moderation. “Wine drinkers have a lower risk for developing a cancer of the esophagus that is one of the deadliest and fastest growing cancers in the U.S., new research shows.” “findings from three newly published studies suggest that drinking wine in moderation may help protect against esophageal adenocarcinoma or a precancerous condition” (see reference below)
5.  Maintain Spirituality-
“Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” Matthew 5:3
Medical journals and research have shown that physical health is linked with your spiritual health. “Most original research articles on the topic have found positive associations between increased spirituality and better health outcomes,” says Professor Hedley G. Peach of the University of Melbourne, Australia. The Medical Journal of Australia (MJA) states: “Religiosity has also been associated with . . . lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol . . . and even lower risk for colon cancer”
(see reference below)
6. Manage Your Stress –
“Who of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his life span?”  Luke 12:25
Its not a secret Stress Can Kill and cause many diseases. Stress can be managed by putting the other 6 tips into practice.
7.  Eat Real Food –
“He is making green grass sprout for the beasts, And vegetation for the service of mankind, To cause food* to go forth from the earth, Psalm 104:14
Our bodies digest Real Food properly. Processed foods are full of  foreign toxins that can stress our bodies. To maintain  good health you must eat real organic food grown from the earth
